We believe in the power of prayer and would greatly appreciate your prayer support! New Life creates a Monthly Prayer Guide which includes daily prayer items involving students’ prayer requests and other concerns. It is available by email or Canada Post. Please take a look at the Guide and partner with us in prayer.

“Reach Through the Bars” is New Life’s quarterly newsletter which is full of exciting, inspirational, and educational information concerning the programs and advancements in our ministry. Each issue includes updates from the director, student testimonials and comments, prayer items, and much more! Share the enthusiasm and experience the difference God is making in prisons across Canada.

Through donations:

New Life Prison Ministry is a Canadian registered charity, and issues tax receipts in January (unless someone prefers an immediate copy).

Besides personal or post-dated cheques, funds can be donated via automatic bank withdrawals or credit card.

If by cheque, simply mail to New Life Prison Ministry, Box 123, Arva, ON, N0M 1C0.

If by automatic bank withdrawal, please send us a blank cheque marked VOID, and indicate the amount you would like to give each month. It will be withdrawn from your account on the 15th of each month.

If by credit card, simply click the CanadaHelps.org button on the left of this page. This is a very reputable organization which also provides an instant receipt.

If you’re considering a gift to New Life, you could also give appreciated securites such as stocks or mutual funds. Earlier in 2007, the federal government removed the capital gains tax on publicly traded securities donated to registered charities. When you give stocks, you receive a tax receipt for the full current value, and pay no tax on capital gains. It’s an opportunity to make a big difference at a lower cost. Since New Life Prison Ministry receives no government funding, it depends totally on the Lord’s people to meet the needs. As funding increases, so does the outreach! And as the ministry grows, the gospel is presented to more Canadian inmates!

Through volunteering:

If you feel the Lord has called you to prison ministry and you would like to get involved, please contact us by phone or e-mail. We will be glad to meet with you, give you a tour of the New Life office to explain the ministry, and discuss volunteer opportunities. Your time will be greatly appreciated and you will be contributing to the work of the Lord whether you volunteer in a background capacity or participate in a more visible area.

New Life has developed two training manuals and also provides "must-read" books. If a new person is going to be volunteering inside a prison, the local institution also provides training.
